There are 32 hours (or 16 days) of classroom instruction. We offer two different sessions to complete the classroom portion - a four week or eight week session.
The four week session is taught two hours a day, four days a week - Monday through Thursday at 6-8 PM or 7-9 PM.
The eight week session is taught two hours a day, two days a week - Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday at 5-7 PM.
During the first three days of class, the student is prepared for the permit test by studying the Texas road rules and signs in the Texas Driver Handbook and taking sample tests.
Over the remaining 13 days, students will learn other aspects of driving from car maintenance, insurance and seat belts to the deadly consequences of texting while driving, drugs and alcohol.
Quizzes are given daily and a final exam is taken on the last day of class with a mandatory score of 70% or above to receive credit for the classroom portion.
The student may miss up to five days in the classroom.
All classroom instruction and any make up days must be completed within 90 days from the last scheduled day of instruction.
The school may terminate the student's enrollment and revoke the permit if all 16 class days are not completed and the final exam is not passed before the 90 day deadline.
